The original Warrant of Lodge CXI was issued at Carlow, Republic of
Ireland, in 1739 but it lapsed in 1814.
The current Lodge of Harmony, CXI. was granted the warrant in 1817.
Lodge of Harmony was originally warranted as 861 in 1798 but was exchanged
for CXI in 1817. In these times, it was said that there was a church
parade in which the lodges marched to the venue in Lodge numerical
order. Thus it was every lodges ambition to get nearer the head of
the parade - hence the change of warrant in 1817!
In 1883, Lodge of Harmony, CXI, had the privilege of conducting a
stall in the Great Bazaar held in the Ulster Hall.
During these last 182 years the Lodge of Harmony, CXI has come to
be affectionately known to Lodge Brethren in particular, and to local
Freemasonry in general, as "YIN-YIN-YIN" ('yin' being Ulster-Scots
for one).
Lodge of Harmony CXI holds its Stated Communications at 7.00pm on
the 1st Thursday of each month - July, August and September excepted.
The current Lodge Secretary is W.Bro.Leslie McCaw Allan
